Helmut Fischer BETASCOPE – beta backscatter module for the thinnest coatings
Applications
An expansion module for the FISCHERSCOPE MMS PC2 that measures organic and metallic coatings when the atomic numbers of the coating and the substrate differ sufficiently. Applications: anti-fingerprint nano-coatings on stainless steel, gold coatings in aviation, thin insulating coatings on electrical steel, oil films.
Key features
- Radiometric beta backscatter method – one of the few on the market
- Graphically guided operation, manual or semi-automatic measurement
- Configurations (probes, apertures, emitters) adapted to the task
- Integrated temperature sensor
- USB and RS232 interfaces
Models
module for the MMS PC2 base unit
Technical data
- Method: beta backscatter (radiometric)
- Range: depends on the coating / substrate and the beta emitter
