Karl Deutsch LEPTO-Pen 2091 – mechanical coating thickness gauge for steel
Applications
A simple and economical instrument for quickly checking the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on unhardened commercial steel when the accuracy of an electronic gauge is not needed. Suitable for painters, installers and facility maintenance when a paint or zinc layer needs to be assessed without batteries or calibration.
Key features
- Works on the magnetic attraction principle according to EN ISO 2178 – no electronics or batteries
- Precision magnet and mechanical spring balance with a scale in µm
- No on-site calibration needed – suitable for quick checks on site
- Service life of at least 500,000 measuring cycles
- Minimal price compared with electronic gauges
