Photothermal Coating Thickness Gauges

Photothermal Coating Thickness Gauges

Photothermal gauges determine coating thickness without touching the surface – a short light pulse heats the coating and a sensor measures how the heat spreads. This makes it possible to measure wet, powder and cured coatings on metallic and non-metallic substrates. OptiSense offers handheld PaintChecker Mobile and LED-R gauges as well as PaintChecker Industrial sensors and controllers mounted on robots or production lines. Reference Master standards are produced with the same coating that is used in production.

OptiSense PaintChecker Mobile – non-contact photothermal coating thickness gauges

Handheld photothermal gauges for the laboratory and production line that measure wet, powder and cured coatings on metallic and non-metallic substrates without contact.

OptiSense PaintChecker MOBILE LED-R – non-contact gauge for rough surfaces

A handheld LED photothermal instrument for non-contact measurement of wet and dry organic coatings (solvent-based and water-based, glazes) on metal, extruded rubber and ceramics.

OptiSense PaintChecker Industrial sensors – photothermal sensors for production lines

Compact, lightweight and vibration-resistant photothermal sensors mounted on robots or in the line – for glossy paints, rough powder coatings, thick glass-ceramic glazes, small parts and confined spaces.

More

OptiSense PaintChecker Industrial controllers – up to 8 measuring points in the line

Industrial controllers that connect PaintChecker sensors to the plant PLC and quality systems: they power the sensors, store measurement configurations and transfer data.

OptiSense PaintChecker Reference Master – certified standards for photothermal gauges

Paint samples with a defined coating thickness on a substrate, made with exactly the same coating that is used in production – often from an original part.
