Helmut Fischer FISCHERSCOPE X-RAY XDL / XDLM – serial inspection of electroplated coatings

Applications

For the electroplating, aviation and sanitary fittings industries – for quality control of mass-produced parts, incoming goods inspection and production monitoring. The measuring direction from above makes it possible to automate serial measurements. The XDLM with a microfocus tube is designed for small parts, light metals, hard coatings and thin electroplated layers.

Key features

  • Robust design for mass-produced parts; hood with C-shaped slot
  • Measuring distance set by the patented DCM method
  • Proportional counter detector with the largest measuring window on the market
  • Integrated video microscope with zoom and crosshairs; laser pointer on models with XY stage
  • From a flat sample support to a programmable XY stage
  • XDLM: 4 interchangeable apertures and 3 interchangeable filters, spot approx. Ø 0.1 mm

Models

XDL 230, XDL 240 (standard tube, fixed apertures and filters); XDLM 237 (microfocus tube); XDLM-PCB (PCB version); X-RAY MODULAR CHAMBER (integration of XDL/XDLM/XDAL into a 1 m³ or 1.5 m³ chamber for large products)

Technical data

  • Detector: proportional counter
  • X-ray tube: XDL – standard; XDLM – microfocus
  • Sample height: up to 140 mm
  • Smallest measuring spot: XDL approx. Ø 0.2 mm; XDLM approx. Ø 0.1 mm
  • Apertures: XDL fixed; XDLM 4 interchangeable
  • Filters: XDL fixed; XDLM 3 interchangeable
  • Software: WinFTM
