TSI EEPMS 3095 – Engine Exhaust Particle Measurement System (EEPS 3090 + PTT 3098)
Applications
Real-time measurement of solid particle number and size distribution in engine exhaust: sub-23 nm solid particles for post Euro 6 engines, cold start emissions of GDI engines, DPF / GPF characterization, brake and tyre wear particles, non-volatile PM from aircraft turbine engines, non-road mobile machinery emissions and aerosol research.
Key features
- EEPS 3090: electrometer array, 32 size channels (16 per decade), measurements 10 times per second
- Particle size 5.6–560 nm; concentration from > 10,000 to < 5×10⁸ particles/cm³
- PTT 3098: two porous tube diluters and a catalytic stripper (PMP-type: hot dilution – catalytic stripper – cold dilution), dilution ratio 10:1–500:1
- Diluters without moving parts and with low particle losses; total penetration > 50% even below 10 nm
- Sampling at up to 500 °C and 3 bar; heated sample line
- Control via EEPS software or integration into the test bench via AK protocol; only the swappable flow controller module needs annual calibration
