Foerster MAGNETOSCOP 1.070 – portable magnetometer and permeability meter
Applications
For mobile inspection and quality assurance where magnetic fields must be measured accurately: checking residual magnetism (remanence) of weakly magnetic materials and parts, determining the demagnetisation state of steel parts, detecting ferromagnetic inclusions in austenitic steels and non-ferrous alloys, and measuring the permeability of low-permeability and non-magnetic materials. Also suitable for long-term monitoring of the ambient magnetic field, e.g. before installing magnetically sensitive equipment (MRI), while comparative permeability measurements reveal material changes due to carburisation, corrosion or structural changes.
