Helmut Fischer SIGMASCOPE SMP350 – electrical conductivity meter for non-ferrous metals
Applications
Compact handheld instrument for measuring the electrical conductivity of non-ferrous metals – aluminium, copper – using the phase-sensitive eddy current method. Conductivity is used to assess the hardness and strength of heat-treated materials, heat damage, fatigue and alloy homogeneity; applied in aviation, metal processing and at the mint.
Key features
- Range 0.3–63 MS/m / 0.5–108 % IACS
- Measurement through paint or plastic coating up to 500 µm thick
- Several measuring frequency versions for different penetration depths
- Automatic curvature compensation
- Material-specific temperature coefficient, optional temperature sensor in the probe
- Touch screen, USB, acoustic limit value monitoring; Boeing BAC 5651 probe
