QATM Qpress 40 / Qpress 50 – hot mounting presses

Applications

For laboratories that need to mount specimens quickly and reproducibly in phenolic, epoxy or acrylic resin before grinding. Qpress 40 – a compact single-cylinder solution; Qpress 50 – a modular system for high specimen throughput or when different mould diameters are needed at the same time.

Key features

  • Fully hydraulic, water-cooled, automatic cycle; up to 35 % shorter mounting time (Qpress 40, with preheating function).
  • Qpress 50 – modular design: 2 or 4 independently controlled mounting units from one controller.
  • Patented Dust Guard – extraction of fine dust when pouring resin.
  • 7” industrial touchscreen, method database, >200 user methods (Qpress 50), user accounts.
  • Double mounting (two specimens in one cycle); moulds changed without tools.
  • Four pressure modes, adjustable heating and cooling power; round and rectangular moulds.
