AXIOTEK HARDNESS TESTER AX-PD

Recommended for medium-sized and irregularly shaped sample, AX/PD is the new digital Axiotek hardness tester designed to perform Rockwell, Brinell and Vickers tests.

Handwheel and support base

The “AX 4.PD” version has a practical handwheel, a large and robust base: their combination allows to improve instrument performance and  to support even the largest pieces with irregular shapes. Furthermore, it reveals to be also a perfect workbench for small samples.

Locking of bulky parts and pieces with irregular shapes

Thanks to the locking hood and to the indenter with 20mm vertical stroke, the hardness tester follows the sample even in case of structural bending with the auto-compensating system. The locking hood applies constant pressure, avoiding possible changes of position and structural failure of the sample during tests. The measuring head never loses contact with the surface: this makes possible measuring unstable, dirty or oiled samples and getting rid of times and costs related to additional external supports needed to hold bulky pieces.

Few easy steps to perform the hardness test!

1. Position the sample to be tested on the large base

3. The hardness value is automatically displayed on the touchscreen monitor

Ergonomic front control panel with 15’’ touchscreen to manage the whole instrument. It has been developed to help the operator: it is intuitive and easy to use, but also a powerful and cutting-edge tool, with a built-in software able to satisfy the needs of experienced users.

Data export

AX/PD offers lots of possibilities for data output and data backup. Beyond saving results, all data detected during tests can be exported as .pdf or .xls (Excel) files, depending on customer’s needs.

Report printing

One of the AX/PD standard feature is creating and printing personalized test reports with company logo and data, values and comments, through any printers connected on the system.

Barcode scanner

Thanks to the USB port, a barcode scanner can be connected to the instrument. This allows to scan any barcode on the samples tested and, once codes have been uploaded, it is possible to create specific test reports for each single sample. Margin of error will decrease dramatically and all product information will be easily accessible.
